Afscheidscadeautjes

Na ruim 5 jaar neemt L deze week afscheid van haar creche. Voor de leidster van haar huidige kamer en haar assistent heb ik halfronde dumplingtasjes gemaakt van een tafelzeil dat ik vorig jaar op de markt in Rotterdam heb gekocht. Deze tasjes hebben L en ik gevuld met handcreme, badschuim en ander lekker geurend spul.

De eerste die ik had gemaakt vond ik toch een beetje klein dus ik heb 'm alom met 1,5 cm vergroot en die is voor de juf, het kleinere tasje voor haar assistente.
Voor het tasje heb ik een tutorial gebruikt die ik ooit vond op de blog Leven met Liv.

After having spent more than 5 years at childcare L will be saying goodbye this week. For the Kinder teacher in her current room and her assistant I made dumpling toiletry bags from oilcloth I picked up at the Rotterdam market last year. L and I filled these bags with hand creme, bath foam etc. 

The first one I made turned out to be too small so I enlarged the pattern with 1.5 cm all around. The larger of the two is for L's Kinder teacher and the smaller one for the teacher's assistant. For this bag I used a tutorial that I once found on the blog Leven met Liv


Een van L's favoriete leidsters is zwanger en voor haar hebben ik een pamperzakje gemaakt naar een handleiding van Eloleo. Ooit eens voor eigen gebruik gemaakt en ik vond het altijd een erg handig ding. Ook deze is uit tafelzeil, ooit gekocht bij Oilcloth Addict voor een schort voor B.

One of L's favourite teachers is pregnant and for her I made a take along nappy bag after a manual from Eloleo. I made it once and always thought it was a very handy thing to carry around. This one is made out of oilcloth I once bought at Oilcloth Addict for an apron for B.

Kraamcadeautje

Voor de baby van een vriendin heb ik nog eens het Crossover pinafore van Smashed Peas and Carrots naar boven gehaald. Ik vond het zo'n schattig jurkje vorige keer en ik had er een schattig stofje voor in gedachten waarvan ik ooit eens een jurk maakte voor L.

For a friend's baby I made another crossover pinafore from Smashed Peas and Carrots. I loved making this cute little pinafore last time and I had a perfect fabric remnant in mind of which I once made dress for L.

Ik heb er ook nog een labeldoekje bij gemaakt van dezelfde stof. Van het aller- maar dan ook echt allerlaatste stukje van de vrolijke stofrand wilde ik op een of andere manier in een slab verwerken, helaas, het was te klein. Toen bedacht ik me dat het misschien wel leuk zou zijn om er een minitasje van te maken om spenen in mee te nemen of ander klein spul. Om geen naden te zien in het tasje, besloot ik het te voeren.

I also made a tag blanket in the same material. The very last bit of the fabric border - really it was only a little square - I wanted to somehow use for a bib, but alas, it was too small. Then I thought about a tiny little drawstring bag for dummies or other small stuff. Just so you can't see the seams, I decided to line it as well.

Ik hoop dat ze het leuk vinden. Het blijft eng om iets zelfgemaakts cadeau te geven.

I'm too cool for these pants

Vandaag een simpele pyjamabroek gemaakt voor B. De hele tijd terwijl ik bezig was, werd me verteld dat 't niet mooi werd en hij 'm niet aan zou doen. Hij ligt nu natuurlijk heerlijk te slapen in z'n nieuwe pyjamabroek...

 

Today I made B. a simple pair of pyjama pants. While I was making it I was told they were not nice, not cool and that he wouldn't wear them. Of course he's fast asleep in his bed right now wearing his new pants...

 

Eerder deze week een klein cadeautje gemaakt voor iemand die met zwangerschapsverlof gaat bij B. z'n buitenschoolse opvang. Een streelzacht dekentje met een bijpassende mooshy belly bunny.

 

 

Earlier this week I made a small gift for someone who's going on maternity leave at B's after school care. It's a super soft blanket with a matching mooshy belly bunny.
